The Chevelon Butte Wind Farm was approved by AZ Corporation Commission on Oct 22, 2019.
The project consists of initially 164 (with 175 projected) 860 foot tall wind towers which will span approximately 12 miles. The wind towers are to be built next year in the Happy Jack area just north of Mogollon Ranch between SR87 and FR 99.
The wind farm will provide power to CA as part of their mandate for renewable energy, and will employ up to 15 jobs in AZ.
