Coconino Planning and Zoning is planning to approve the subject Zoning change from Open Space to Commercial General with 10,000 sq ft minimum lot size.
The location is 5792 State Route 87, Happy Jack, AZ 86024. The location by Telecommunications tower that is between the Calvary Church and the Blue Ridge Community Church.. The property is off SR-87 between the two churches (semi-public uses). A deceleration lane is already available to access the site.
The reason for the zone change is to allow storage for RV’s trailers, and boats. There will be approximately 100 spaces proposed with fencing and security system.
In various sub-divisions residential zoning does not allow residents to park their own RV’s or trailers and must travel to other locations to store. This storage will allow people to store their RV’s and trailers in the area. Fencing around the storage area will match the cell tower, and graveled to allow rain and snow drainage.
This zoning change will be approved unless objections are obtained by June 1, 2020.
